Abby Larsen, Owner
I have worked in childcare for the last 26 years and for the last 1 5years owning and operating A Step Above Learning Center LLC. I reside in Moore with my husband Shawn and two boys, Parker and Paxton. I have a Master’s Degree in Early Childhood Administration, Management and Leadership, Bachelor’s in Early Childhood, Associates in Child Development, Certificate of Mastery, CDA, and countless hours of additional training. I also own and operate Early Childhood Consulting Agency. In my spare time, I’m busy with both my kids. I enjoy being able to be part of the families that come through my school. Watching young children grow is an amazing and very rewarding experience. I love forming those family partnerships. I’m blessed every day to be able to do what I do, and I wouldn’t trade it for anything!
Elizabeth Rojas, Administrative Director
I have worked for A Step Above Learning Center for 14 years. I started working in the toddler and 2 year old classroom and worked my way up to management. I have been the director for over 7 years now. I love working with children and being able to watch them grow and learn new things daily. I currently have my Certificate of Mastery and CDA in the infant/toddler setting and an associates degree in early childhood. I have three children of my own and have been very blessed to be able to work and raise them at A Step Above. I love working in a place where the families and employees are like family!
Lauren Garcia, Program Director
I have worked as an early childhood educator for 11 years. I have my associates in early care education and certificate of mastery. I am currently enrolled online at Southeastern Oklahoma State University in the Early Intervention & Child Development program. I have worked at A Step Above Learning Center for 4 years. In my free time, I enjoy reading and spending time with family.
Olivia Spradlin, Master Preschool Teacher
I am the master teacher in the preschool classroom. I love working in the preschool classroom because the children are at the stage in their educational career where they get so excited to learn new things. I have been with A Step Above for over 9 years now and I have my CDA in the infant/toddler setting and a certificate of mastery. I started here as a kid in high school and am so excited to be able to work and raise my baby here. In my free time, I enjoy fishing, hanging out with family, and being a mom!
NILA THOMPSON, Master TEACHER in the Infant Room
I have worked at A Step Above Learning Center for almost 8 years. I have a bachelors degree in Psychology from Mid America Christian University and enrolled at the University of Oklahoma to obtain my master’s degree in behavioral therapy. I love working with children and hope to be able to help families with early intervention.
Sarah Warming, Infant Room Teacher and Social Media Coordinator
I have worked in Early Childhood Education for 20 years and have been with A Step Above Learning Center on and off since 2011. I have worked with ages 6 weeks-2 years directly for the last 14 years. I have my CDA and currently enrolled at Oklahoma City Community College for my associate’s degree. In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my boyfriend, my family and my fur son Draco. Some of my hobbies include working out, reading, shopping, cooking and gardening.

I have worked with children for many years but have worked at A Step Above for almost 6 years while going to high school. I graduated high school in May 2022 and am attending college at Randall University on a volleyball scholarship. I plan to earn a degree in biology and then enter the nursing program.
Ceclia Cisneros, Master Teacher in the
Toddler Class
I started working at A Step Above Learning Center for 1 year in the toddler/two year old as the Master Teacher. My goal is to create a safe, loving, and fun environment for the children in my care. I have an associate’s degree and am currently a level 8 on the professional development ladder. Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my 2 dogs who keep me active and smiling every day. I’m always excited to get to know you and be a part of your child’s day.
