Abby LarSEn, Owner
I have worked in childcare for the last 26 years and for the last 13 years owning and operating A Step Above Learning Center LLC. I reside in Moore with my husband Shawn and two boys, Parker and Paxton. I have a Master’s Degree in Early Childhood Administration, Management and Leadership, Bachelor’s in Early Childhood, Associates in Child Development, Certificate of Mastery, CDA, and countless hours of additional training. I am an adjunct professor at Oklahoma City Community College for the child development department, and own and operate Early Childhood Consulting Agency. In my spare time, I’m busy with both my kids. I enjoy being able to be part of the families that come through my school. Watching young children grow is an amazing and very rewarding experience. I love forming those family partnerships. I’m blessed every day to be able to do what I do, and I wouldn’t trade it for anything!
Elizabeth Rojas, Director
I have worked for A Step Above Learning Center for 12 years. I started working in the toddler and 2 year old classroom and worked my way up to management. I have been the director for over 7 years now. I love working with children and being able to watch them grow and learn new things daily. I currently have my Certificate of Mastery and CDA in the infant/toddler setting. I am currently enrolled at Oklahoma City Community College working on my associate degree in early childhood. I have three children of my own and have been very blessed to be able to work and raise them at A Step Above. I love working in a place where the families and employees are like family!
Lauren Jaco, Assistant Director
I have worked as an early childhood educator for 10 years. I have my associates in early care education, certificate of mastery, and CDA. I am currently enrolled online at Southeastern Oklahoma State University in the early intervention and child development program. I have worked at A Step Above Learning Center for 2 years. I reside in Tuttle with my husband and 2 stepchildren. In my free time, I am busy keeping up with my stepchildren’s sports and enjoy reading.
Olivia Spradlin, Master Preschool Teacher
I am the master teacher in the preschool classroom. I love working in the preschool classroom because the children are at the stage in their educational career where they get so excited to learn new things. I have been with A Step Above for over 7 years now and I have my CDA in the infant/toddler setting and a certificate of mastery. I am currently enrolled at Oklahoma City Community College (OCCC) in the early childhood program. I started here as a kid in high school and am so excited to be able to work and raise my baby here. In my free time, I enjoy fishing, hanging out with family, and being a mom!
Kindall Coffman, TWO YEAR OLD TEACHER
Hi, I am new to early childhood and love being able to spend my time learning in the two year old class. I plan on starting school to earn my CDA this spring.
NILA THOMPSON, AFTERNOON INFANT TEACHER
I have worked at A Step Above Learning Center for almost 6 years. I am currently enrolled at Mid America Christian University earning a degree in psychology and will obtain my master’s degree in behavioral therapy. I love working with children and hope to be able to help families with early intervention.
Sarah Warming, Infant Room Teacher and Social Media Coordinator
I have worked in Early Childhood Education for 18 years and have been with A Step Above Learning Center on and off since 2011. I have worked with ages 6 weeks-2 years directly for the last 12 years. In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my boyfriend and my family. Some of my hobbies include working out, reading, and meditating.
Janeth Zuniga, Toddler Room Master Teacher
I have worked at A Step Above Learning Center for almost 3 years. I have been in the childcare industry for 7 years and mainly worked in the younger classrooms. I am currently enrolled in the CDA program online to obtain my master teacher credential. I am fluent in Spanish, love to shop, watch movies and spend time with my friends. I am planning to continue my early childhood education at Oklahoma City Community College.
Marah Ream, Teacher
Hi! I am so excited to have finished high school and now start my career. I have been with A Step Above for 2 years. I am currently enrolled at the votech to earn my CDA and become a master teacher after that I plan to earn my certificate of mastery at the community college. I love going to church and spending time with my animals. I love being in all the classrooms and helping them build the friendships they are starting to form with one another.
KYLIE THOMPSON, FLOATER
I have worked with children for many years but have worked at A Step Above for almost 5 years while going to high school. I graduated high school in May 2022 and am attending college at Randall University on a volleyball scholarship. I plan to earn a degree in biology and then enter the nursing program.
